This building was erected in 1975 and replaced a 1920s Woolworth's building. Its first floor frontage was remodelled for fashion retailer H&M in 2004.

Nationwide (building society)

Nationwide was founded as the Cooperative Permanent Building Society in 1884 and adopted its current name in 1970. It remains a mutualised Building Society.

2018 - H&M moved out, merging this branch into its enlarged and refurbished shop in the Oracle. It was replaced by Nationwide Building Society, which moved from No. 99.

Former H Samuel 'Jewel Centre'

This building was erected in 1966 as an ultra-modern three-storey 'Jewel Centre' for jeweller H Samuel, with a lift between the floors. It replaced two former shops on the site.

Hotter Shoes (shoe shop)

Hotter Shoes is a brand established in the 1990s by Beaconsfield Footwear (est. 1959). It had financial difficulties in 2023 and was acquired by WoolOvers.
