Building:
Part of the Former National Provincial Bank building

This building was erected for the National Provincial Bank in 1955 (which later merged with Natwest). It was sold by the bank and converted into shops in 1985.

Early Learning Centre (toy shop)

A retailer of educational toys for infants, Early Learning Centre was founded in London Street, Reading in 1974. It was part of Mothercare from 2007 until 2019, when it was bought by The Entertainer.

No. 3, Broad Street

Probably built in the early 18th century, this building is believed to be timber-framed. It was Grade II listed in 1978.

West Cornwall Pasty Co. (fast food outlet or takeaway)

West Cornwall Pasty Co. was founded by Ken Cocking in 1998, with its first store opening in Chippenham. It had a Cornish pasty shop in Reading at No. 3, Broad Street from 2005 until 2014 when it refocussed its business on railway station concessions and disposed of all its high street premises.
