Building & Occupier Details

Building:

As its datestones helpfully inform us, this building was built in 1898. At the time, it was one of two Broad Street premises occupied by grocers Baylis & Co.

No. 94
Famous Memorabilia (seller of memorabilia)

Sportizus Ltd, trading as Famous Memorabilia, was a purveyor of signed sporting, political and celebrity memorabilia. The company was established in Warwick in 1999 by former BBC swimming commentator Hamilton Bland. It entered administration in 2006 and limped on into 2007, after which it was liquidated.

Building:
Part of Nos. 90-93, Broad Street

Designed by architect Simon Hudspith, this building was purpose-built to replace the 1936 Boots Building with a number of individual shops. This was originally intended to be six, although that was then reduced to three and, by the time of completion in 2003, had become two shops of different sizes.
