Building & Occupier Details

Building:
Former Collins & Son building / Grand Cinema

Built in 1905 for butchers Collins & Son, this building was converted into a cinema in 1911 and then a car showroom in 1922. In 1929 it became a café and then served as various shops and banks from 1975 onwards.

Nos. 100-101
Santander UK (bank)

Santander UK is a bank owned by Spain's Banco Santander. It was created in 2010 from the former Abbey National, Bradford & Bingley and Alliance & Leicester banks.

Building:
No. 99, Broad Street

This building has been around since at least the 1890s and probably dates back to 1882, when it was occupied by hatters and hosiers Thomas Reed & Son.

No. 99
Rey Mia (luggage retailer)

Rey Mia was a small chain of handbag/luggage shops operating in London and south-east England between about 2019 and 2021. As no limited company of that name seems to have existed, it was probably a trading name for a company called something else.

2020 - Luggage and handbag retailer Rey Mia moved into the formerly vacant No. 99.
